Mindfulness Course (MBSR) in Isfield, Uckfield

Mondays, 9.30 to noon, from May 10-July 14. This will be £200 for 26 hours of teaching, that’s less than £8 an hour.

The course will be held at Isfield Village Hall, Station Road, Isfield, Uckfield TN22 5XG.

Debbie says this mindfulness course is suitable for anyone and everyone. It begins with an orientation session, which is free of charge, and continues with eight weekly sessions excluding half term week.

It includes a mindfulness day retreat between weeks six and seven, weekly audio meditations and a course handbook to support your learning.

Debbie says mindfulness is a lifestyle which is scientifically based to improve well-being and combat stress and anxiety and as we emerge from the Coronavirus pandemic this is the ideal time to change patterns of behaviour that are detrimental to our well-being.

She adds: “It’s the perfect time to grow by learning mindfulness skills and techniques, to nurture yourself.

“Further, it’s really important we learn to heal ourselves from suffering due to stress, anxiety, low mood, lack of time, being too busy, without medication so that we can live a better quality of life.”

Well-Being Walk & Talk Session in Isfield

Walk and talk sessions are aimed at people experienced in mindfulness, those interested in finding out more, and those who would like to explore the countryside with other like-minded people.

Debbie says: “Walking is extremely beneficial for well-being. It helps us to feel happier as the process of walking releases endorphins which boost emotions, confidence, mood and self-esteem.

“Walking with others has many additional benefits, the most essential at the moment is that feeling of being connected and the opportunity for social interaction.

“By joining these Walk and Talk sessions you will be improving your well-being and helping others to improve their well-being too – emotionally, socially as well as physically.

Free of charge

The sessions are free of charge, but booking is essential as places are limited in line with the Government guidelines.

The next walk and talk session will start at Isfield Farm Shop, Station Road, Isfield TN22 5XG, on Wednesday, June 23: 10.30-noon.
