Three dancers from the Rennie Dance Academy have won through to the grand final of a competition being held to mark the centenary of the Royal Academy of Dance.
They are Mirabelle Hogan, eight, from Burgess Hill, Gracie Furlong, ten, from Ridgewood, and Amelie Hanson, 13, from Uckfield.
The girls took part in the Sussex Heat of the RAD South East Awards at the Marina Studios in Brighton on Sunday.
This was one of five heats being held across Sussex, Surrey, Kent, Hampshire and Buckinghamshire with more than 600 children expected to be involved. The awards are part of a year of events taking place to celebrate the RAD centenary.
Classes were held at four different levels in Brighton with more than 130 students attending during the day.
Rennie Dance Academy principal Kirsten Rennie said: “We are very proud and excited for the students and looking forward to watching the final which is usually judged by a celebrity – such as Wayne Sleep in the past – and other dance professionals.”
