Wide range of gifts and promises ready for silent auction

More than 60 lots have now been donated to Uckfield Rotary Club ready for a silent auction to take place online over three weeks in June.

They range from work in a private garden by volunteers from Brighter Uckfield, to a luxury hamper with wine from the Friends of St Wilfrid’s Hospice.

Other lots include two fresh trout caught locally by a keen fisherman and a coffee and walnut cake “homemade and baked by an expert”.

Three charities – St Peter and St James Hospice, Hospice in the Weald and St Wilfrid’s Hospice – are to benefit from the proceeds of the auction which will open for bidding to begin on Monday, June 1, and continue until Sunday, June 21.
