The full range of parking charges for the new railway station car park in Uckfield have been announced.
It will cost £4 a day Monday to Friday and £1 a day at the weekend and on Bank Holidays.
Weekly fees will be £18; monthly, £66; quarterly, £192, and annual £650.
Full details were revealed on the Uckfield Town Centre Regeneration Project Facebook page on Friday.
The daily charges were already known having been given in September along with more information about the car park. See Uckfield station car park to cost £4 a day. At that time the cost of season tickets and weekend fees had not been fixed.
Work has begun on the car park but was delayed when an important gas pipe was found running the length of the site just one metre below the surface. The pipe was expected to be lower and is likely to be moved.
When complete there will be 174 spaces and cycle storage too.
It will be open 24 hours a day and there will be full CCTV coverage and lighting. The lighting will be dimmed when nobody is in the car park at night but as somebody walks in the lights will turn up again.
This will be the town’s first pay car park and is designed to help free spaces on the Luxford Field car park for shoppers.
Wealden District Council is to bring in tighter time restrictions on the Luxford car park once the new station car park opens. There will be short stay spaces for three hour periods and mid-stay places available for ten hours, an hour longer than the nine hours originally envisaged.
