Wealden Covid-19 deaths – latest figures

Wealden deaths where Covid-19 was a factor have declined for the sixth week in succession.

Yesterday’s (March 9) data from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) showed a total of seven deaths in the latest seven-day reporting period.

Four people died in care homes and one each in hospital, at home and hospice.

For the previous seven days, the total number of deaths was ten.

So far this year, there have been 229 Wealden Covid-19 deaths.

These figures show the number of deaths involving coronavirus (Covid-19), based on any mention of Covid-19 on the death certificate.

The Wealden deaths occurred up to February 26 but were registered up to March 6.
