Latest data on Wealden Covid-19 deaths is encouraging as the country nears the end of its first week of the second lockdown.
National figures published yesterday (November 10) show that Wealden Coronavirus deaths returned to zero in the latest seven-day period.
It means that in five of the last eight weeks there have been three deaths involving the Coronavirus in Wealden.
The statistics include deaths up to October 30 but registered up to November 7.
Looking further back, the number of Wealden Covid-19 deaths since the beginning of June is 31 and since the pandemic began 129.
In the latest figures, deaths from all causes in Wealden totalled 21, the lowest weekly figure this year.
All eyes are on Covid-19 cases in Uckfield and surrounding villages which continue to show that they could be plateauing, or edging down after a sharp rise in October.
The number of cases in Uckfield area communities is reported over a different period to the Wealden figures, as are some of the seven-day rolling averages. This is due to the timings of data releases.
