Wealden Covid-19 deaths at 2021 new low

Deaths in Wealden where Covid-19 was a factor were at their lowest level since late November, according to data published yesterday (March 30).

The figures show that in the seven days to March 19, one person died in hospital.

The last time there was only one death in a seven-day period was in the week ending November 27.

Since then more than 280 Wealden people have died where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate.


These figures show the number of deaths involving coronavirus (Covid-19), based on any mention of Covid-19 on the death certificate.

The Wealden deaths occurred up to March 19 but were registered up to March 27.
