Vacher Gardens is recruiting grounds and garden maintenance staff as the company grows.
The company has continued to develop regular private gardens and is also working with more local cricket and bowling clubs on their wickets and greens.
It was particularly pleased this year to take on the famous Sheffield Park ground where long ago England once played Australia and WG Grace notably performed.
And at Newick village ground, where Vacher Gardens looks after another pitch, cricket stars Andrew Flintoff, Chris Gayle and Kevin Peterson all appeared in a charity match on the same day in July.
Company founder Chris Vacher said: “The lawns and greens take a lot of preparation all year round and we certainly put in some mower miles.
“The cutting is mainly done by hand with traditional cylinder and rotary mowers and we are now looking to enhance our team with the addition of suitably skilled and enthusiastic people.
“We also have to work with the vagaries of the weather and have to be supremely flexible in our approach to working times.”
Vacher Gardens will be training new staff between now and March so if you are intereted in joining the team please contact Chris for an information chat.
He can be contacted on 07971 313985 or 01825 744172, or by email on email@example.com.

• Advertising on UckfieldJobs.com works. We appreciate this testimonial from Graham Spencer of Plants for Europe Limited who says: “Thanks for putting our ad on Uckfield News. We had nearly 20 applicants, including some excellent candidates. In the end it was a very difficult decision to choose just one, but we have now found someone to fill the role. I would certainly recommend using your service to other local businesses.”
