Uckfield’s Manor School presents awards to Year 6 leavers

Awards were presented to Year 6 children at Manor Primary School, Uckfield, at a leavers’ assembly.

There was a slideshow of the children as babies and then as 11-year-olds and head teacher Margaret Coleman said: “We are so proud of this group of children. They have worked tirelessly as members of their school community.

“They have formed a really effective and proactive School Council; they have provided us with committed and dedicated School Buddies and Librarians and have been exceptional ambassadors for our school.

“They are the very best role models for the younger children at Manor and have set a very high standard for others to aspire to.”

The Girl of the Year Award went to Hannah Ashby and Boy of the Year to William Isted.

Other awards included the Citizenship Award to Bella May, Academic Achievement to Judith Stenlund, Outstanding Attainment to Lauren Hammond and “Manor’s Star of the Future” to Rhianna Siggs. Other pupils were recognised for their achievements in Languages and Science to Performing Arts and Enterprise.
