The Atomic Blood-Stained Bus, the first novel of Michael J Ritchie.

The Atomic Blood Stained Bus was snapped up by publisher Impera Books. They offered a contract after receiving Michael’s synopsis, requested the first three chapters followed by the whole draft and within two weeks had agreed to publish.

The book will be released as an ebook initially and will be available for all platforms but Michael still dreams of seeing a paper version on the shelves one day.

Michael, aged 26, was born in Uckfield, attended Holy Cross Primary School and Uckfield Community Technology College and then went on to study creative writing at Roehampton University where he attained a 2.1 Honours degree.

He has undertaken occasional freelance journalism and research for a travel retail magazine and maintained a career in retail, currently working in a managerial role in East Grinstead.

Michael’s over-riding ambition has been to become a published author and he has entered national writing competitions in search of recognition.

He is acutely aware of the difficulties of achieving success in this field but has never been deterred from creating the right piece for the right audience.

Michael is an avid reader and consumes books of most genres at an alarming rate and maintains a blog Fell from Fiction where he reviews every book he reads.

Michael sees the publication of his first novel as a huge personal achievement and his next offering is well under way.
