It is recruiting two people, one to develop a youth volunteer programme and the other to continue developing outreach initiatives.
Both positions are part-time and on a self-employed basis.
The first sessional worker developing the youth volunteer programme will build ‘teacher packs’ suitable for both primary and secondary schools, as well as local community youth groups.
The ability to present to staff and governors, as well as students, is needed and transport is essential.
This is a term-time only fixed contract for 37 weeks, 12 hours a week and £15 an hour. The role is being funded by the Big Lottery Fund, Awards for All.
The second role for continuing to develop outreach initiatives, including social media, and attending local community events, on behalf of the centre.
Other responsibilities will include volunteer training and relationship building with local community groups/charities and businesses.
Transport is essential and some evening/weekend work may be required.
This will be a fixed term contract for 50 weeks, six hours a week at £15 an hour. The role is being funded by Sussex Community Foundation.
