Uckfield trampoline gymnast Abi Jaques is fund-raising so that she can represent England at a competition in Portugal in October.
This will be the second time Abi, a double mini trampoline gymnast, has represented England and the Loule Cup at Portugal will be the first Federation International Gymnastics sanctioned event she has competed at.
The competition is self-funded and will cost £850.
Abi currently funds her own training, competition expenses and England training camps by working as a coach and giving back her experience and knowledge to the sport she loves.
But she is finding it difficult to meet the cost of the international competition on her own and would be grateful for any help people can offer. Please visit Abi’s gofundme page to make a donation.
Abi is the current 17-21 British Champion but this year moved into the Senior Age Group for competition and will compete at the British Championships in Birmingham in September.
She says: “So far this year I have had the opportunity to represent England for the first time at the Frivolton Cup in Sweden where I was placed second to the current Senior Ladies World Champion.
“My aim this year is to gain experience in international competitions to get used to the different environments and level of competition these events offer, helping me to prepare for my long term goal of competing as a senior at the World Championships.”
