Uckfield Singers raise funds for hospice at Christmas concert

More than £345 was raised for Hospice in the Weald by Uckfield Singers at their Christmas concert on Saturday.

The concert was held at the Civic Centre, and was the first to be conducted by new musical director Monica Das.

The Singers sang a variety of songs, including some acapella pieces, and Christmas Carols which the audience joined in with.

Local young musicians also performed. They were Andrea Lobley and Ben Poole, and Zoe Mattalaer and Charlie Damazer.

The Singers say Hospice in the Weald is planning to open a Cottage Hospice at Five Ashes which will be a new concept and the first of its kind in the UK.
