Uckfield singer songwriter releases first EP under his own name

Former Uckfield Community Technology College student Michael Baker has released his first EP under his own name. It is called Keys to the Kingdom.

The singer songwriter featured on UckfieldNews.com in February last year when his band Felix Fables launched an EP and was fund-raising to release an album. See:  Felix Fables launches an EP https://uckfieldnews.com/felix-fables-launches-an-ep/

The year before that Uckfield News readers helped when Felix Fables made a plea for votes in a Battle of the Bands competition.

Michael, who is based in London, toured extensively with the band. They released two successful albums along with the EP which was entirely crowd-funded through Pledge Music.

UK tours included being featured as Café Nero’s Artist of the Month which showcased the album In this Town and it’s single Wonderful World.

As a result Michael’s music is now played in Café Neros around the UK.

He has supported slots for The Noisettes for Windows Live and has also had extensive experience performing at festivals and events throughout the UK and parts of Europe.

His music has also made a featured sync on various eipsodes of Hollyoaks on E4 and Channel 4.

He continues to develop a career as a solo artist and writer collaborating with emerging artists such as Georgia Mason (Kid Gloves), Speakman Sound, Charlie Elwess (Arcady Bliss) and Ed martin (Kielo).

Two of Michael’s videos can be seen below. First is a live acoustic and second is the official video for Dust and Bone. Two children from St Philip’s School in Uckfield, Joseph and Amelie Roberts, feature in the film.
