Uckfield Rotary’s cash for choir

Uckfield Rotary Club president Peter Tutt presented a cheque to Manor Primary School headteacher, Margaret Coleman, at a proms concert at Uckfield Civic Centre on Saturday.

The cheque for £385 is to pay for the school choir to have polo shirts.

The concert, presented by the Uckfield United Reformed Church, was organised by Douglas Scott who is the grandparent of one of the school’s pupils.

There was music for everyone at the proms after the presentation with all the classics including Jerusalem for rugby and church people, You’ll never walk alone for the football fans, Bohemian Rhapsody and Thank you for the music for the classic pop fans, Singing in the rain from the musicals and classic pieces by Uckfield Concert Brass, Manor Primary School Choir and Lucy Williams.
