Uckfield Rotary Club is offering £1,000 to help make a young person’s dreams come true.
The organisation is seeking applications from people who could be considered for the award this year.
Those eligible will be aged between 16 and 25 and live in the Uckfield area. Skills could be musical, artistic or organisational or nominees could be good at sports or with their hands, skilled in a service industry or in other areas altogether.
Appliants have to be able to convince the Rotarians that they have thought their application through and can explain what they expect to get from the award.
Previous winers have used the money to teach in Ethiopia, travel to Tanzania as part of medical studies, paid for advanced tutoring on the violin and contributed to the cost of courses leading to career qualifications.
The Rotary Club award was set up in memory of Private Daniel Gamble who, aged 22, was the 100th British serviceman to die while on deployment in Afghanistan.
