Uckfield Rotary Club inspires others with fund-raising efforts

Uckfield Rotary Club raised nearly £4,000 for three hospices through an online auction and their efforts have inspired four other Rotary clubs to organise similar events.

The three charities to benefit will be St Peter and St James Hospice, Hospice in the Weald and St Wilfrid’s Hospice.

The organisers say they were pleased to help the charities at a difficult time and delighted with the support from the community.

They are also pleased to see that St Wilfrid’s is now organising its own silent auction and four other Kent and Sussex Rotary Clubs are doing the same.

A link to the Uckfield Rotary Club auction – which was run over three weeks in June – can still be seen here:  Jumblebee page: Rotary Club of Uckfield Silent Auction.
