Uckfield roadworks reach signal box

Roadworks in Uckfield now opposite the signal box and railway station as they head towards the 1,000 home Ridgewood Farm development.

Roadworks to install high voltage electricity cables from Uckfield town centre to the 1,000 homes development at Ridgewood Farm have now reached the railway station.

The work involves digging trenches to install pipes (ducts) for new electricity cables in Bell Lane, High Street, New Town and Lewes Road.

Later in the second stage of the project excavations will be opened at intervals along the 2km route to pull through and connect the cables.
