Uckfield roadworks in town centre this weekend

Temporary traffic lights will operate in Uckfield town centre over the weekend.

Kier, on behalf of UK Power Networks, will be carrying out “essential” works on Saturday and Sunday (January 25 and 26).

Two trial holes will be dug either side of the bridge over the River Uck as part of a feasibility study for a new underground cable.

Delays can be expected.

The lights will operate to ensure the safety of the public and workforce.

The temporary multi-way lights will replace the existing lights at the Bell Lane/High Street junction.

They will be manually controlled between 7am and 7pm to minimise disruption to road users.
