The stop near the railway station is listed for suspension from March 16 to March 30.
Nearest stops are at in New Town, just south of the Framfield Road traffic lights, or at the bus station.
UK Power Networks (UKPN) is installing new underground 11kv high voltage electricity cables from the sub-station in Bell Lane to the 1,000 homes development at the former Ridgewood Farm.
The project is to ensure “safe and reliable power supplies”.
Traffic past the works is reduced to a single lane and is controlled by traffic lights.
The works will go via the High Street, New Town, to the Highlands roundabout and then Lewes Road to Ridgewood Place.
