Uckfield netball player selected for England international squad

Uckfield netball player Natalie Miller has been selected to play in the England international squad for 2016.

Natalie Miller.

She is a member of the England Indoor ladies open team for the World Championships to take place in New Zealand this summer.

She will travel with the squad to New Zealand in August to play against teams including Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. The team will train in London weekly leading up to the competition.

Natalie, who went to St Philip’s School and then Uckfield Community Technology College, was playing netball at county level by the age of 13.

She now works at Hurstpierpoint College where she coaches students across all sports, and where her passion for netball continues daily as she takes her own student netball team to the final of the regional league.

In domestic netball, Natalie plays for the Sussex Thunder team in the National Premier 3 League.

In her spare time Natalie also runs a non-profit organisation called Kit out the Caribbean which donates sporting equipment to less fortunate individuals.

The tour to New Zealand is not fully funded, as netball is not seen as a professional sport, and therefore Natalie is seeking sponsorship to help fund her trip. Can you help?

This is an opportunity of a lifetime for the Uckfield sports star, and she really hopes she will be able to represent our country and our town on a massive stage.

If you are a business or individual, and you’d like to sponsor Natalie in her quest for an England Gold Medal in the World Championships, please email her on natalie.miller@hppc.co.uk for more information.
