Uckfield Lions recognise the work of two volunteers

Two volunteers, Tyler Creech and Elizabeth Macve, have been presented with certificates of appreciation by Uckfield Lions Club.

Tyler has been a weekly volunteer in the Lions’ second hand bookshop in Olives Yard, helping to serve customers and sort deliveries, and has also helped with other fund-raising activities.

All the hours he has worked are accumulating toward the Lions’ Young Leaders in Service Award, a national award presented by the UK branch of Lions International.

John Gilbert presents a certificate of appreciation to Elizabeth Macve while her parents Maureen and Chris look on.

Elizabeth helps in the bookshop every other Wednesday. She was joined by her parents Chris and Maureen when her certificate was presented with her certificate by John Gilbert.

Both volunteers were thanked for their continued support and help in raising money for Uckfield Lions.

In the year ending June 2017, the bookshop has raised more than £14,000 for good causes.
