More schools are taking up an offer of life skills learning materials supplied by Uckfield Lions Club.
Among those to have received them are Blackboys, Five Ashes, and East Hoathly primary schools and Uckfield Community Technology College.
The resources include ‘I Am, I Know, I Can” designed for five to 11-year-olds to address personal, social and health education issues.
The materials are written in a practical and accessible style to enable teachers to key into 60 lessons with minimum preparation.
Resources available for three to 11-year-olds include Life Changes, Little Steps, The World of Drugs, Substance and Solutions, The World of Alcohol and Tobacco, Icebreakers, and Warm Ups.
Resources available for 11-19-yer-olds include Keys to Drugs, Sexual Health and Relationships, Up I Smoke, Citizenship, Icebreakers, Warm Ups, Energisrs, On the Booze Again, Sex, Drugs and Alcohol, You Bed, and Just Another Game.
Uckfield Lions have been actively promoting the resources, which are presented to schools free of charge, over the last few months and an increasing number of requests have been made for support.
