Homes to rent with easy access to the countryside and coast are in rapidly increasing demand, say lettings specialists Lampon Lets.
The independent firm, which covers Uckfield, Heathfield, Crowborough and surrounding villages, says the easing of lockdown restrictions has led to a surge of enquiries from Londoners seeking a better lifestyle.
Lucy Lowe, Lettings Director at Lampon Lets, told Uckfield News: “Lockdown has been hard for many people living in urban settings.
“Even smart city homes often have no outdoor areas such as a balcony, patio, terrace or garden – facilities we tend to take for granted here.
“Although restrictions are easing, it must be difficult in built-up areas to get away from other people to relax, play and exercise.
“Many of the enquiries are coming from tenants in places like south and east London.
“They’re attracted by our online viewings and realise that a move to this part of Sussex could get them more property for their money – somewhere almost certainly bigger, better and offering a greatly improved way of life.”
Lucy added: “For the growing numbers of people now working from home, it can be a no-brainer and others are willing to take on a daily commute if it means they, too, can reap the rewards of moving to this area.’
