Muddy banks to climb, deep water to plough through, scaffolding towers to climb and poles to drop down – it couldn’t have been more different from a normal day at work for Uckfield hairdressers.
This was the way girls from Claire Davies Hairdressing chose to spend a team-building day and you can see from the expressions on most of the faces in our pictures that they thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
The challenge began with two teams trying to outdo each other in raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support in the weeks leading up to an assault course challenge.
But then when it came to the big day the teams were re-formed and the battle was on to be the first to reach the end of the course.
“To be honest there was very little in it, only a matter of seconds,” said Becki West who organised the event which took place on Sunday.
So far about £1,200 has been raised in sponsorship but more has still to be collected.
Becki said the assault course was hard work and all the staff were feeling the pain on Monday morning but they had thoroughly enjoyed themselves. “It was brilliant,” she said.
Pictures were taken on the day by Adam Gregory, Mike Belford and Francisca Venancio. Some of them can be seen here – just click on one to scroll through them – but there are more on the Claire Davies Hairdressing Facebook page.
