Uckfield Rugby Club actors take to the stage tonight (Friday) and tomorrow as they present their pantomime Aladdin.
Performances are at Uckfield College with tonight’s starting at 7.30pm and the two tomorrow at 2.30pm and 7.30pm. Find more details here.
Also coming up in Uckfield tomorrow are a jumble sale at Victoria Pavilion – to raise funds towards dementia and extra care support provided by Sussex Support Service – and a Knees Workshop at Uckfield Yoga Studio.
During the week
On Tuesday there’s a Sailaway Party at Baldwins Travel when there will be chance to hear from Star Clippers about their tall ships and learn about latest offers on spillway experiences. You will also be able to enjoy a glass of bubbles.
On Thursday there’s a Business Expo at Uckfield Civic Centre. The exhibition is open from 10am to 3pm and there will be an ‘early bird’ speakers conference from 7.30-9.30am. More information here.
Also on Thursday but during the evening there will be talk at Bridge Cottage, Sussex Scrapbook II by Chris Horlock.
This will include a look at the largest and smallest churches in Sussex, the rarest brass in the hole of Britain and how Sussex wives could once be sold by their husbands at the local market.
A Cottage Market will be held at Bridge Cottage on Saturday, March 7. This will be the first of a series running monthly from March to December. Entry is free.
The same day there will be a workshop at Uckfield Yoga Studio called Opening the Heart – Compassion and Forgiveness.
Then, on Sunday, March 8, there will be a Mindfulness Retreat Day at the yoga studio for people currently taking part in Debbie Horney’s eight-week mindfulness courses and those who have already done a similar course.
