Game-tasting, wedding open day, a concert, and a comedy night – some of the things coming up in Uckfield in the next week.
Tomorrow there’s a free game tasting day at South Brockwells Farm Shop, at Little Horsted, where you will have the chance to sample stews, casseroles and tangines, all made with locally sourced, natural wild meat.
Uckfield Framing Company is holding a One-Day Beginners Picture Framing Course.
And there’s a Wedding Open Day at Horsted Place Country House Hotel, at Little Horsted.
During the evening there’s a concert featuring Julia Bishop with her solo violin, at Bridge Cottage.
During the week
On Thursday, January 23, a comedy night is being held at The Station pub, brought to the town by The Comedy Remedy Club and promoted by Simon Harriyott, from Uckfield, and Simon Dooley, from Bognor.
The pair are already running a successful monthly comedy night in Chichester – the most recent, on Friday, was a sell-out with 70 people in the audience.

On Friday, January 24, St Philip’s Primary School is hosting a pantomime, The Wizard of Oz.
On Saturday, January 25, an exhibition Uckfield, South of the River, will open at Bridge Cottage. It will explore the community that grew around Framfield Road and Newtown after the railway came to town.
