Tuesday, October 27, is the day an exhibition is to be staged in Uckfield showing recommendations for a new Wealden Local Plan.
Other exhibitions are to be held in Crowborough, Hailsham, Wadhurst, Heathfield, Hailsham and Polegate where the same information will be displayed so if you miss the Uckfield event there are other opportunities to get involved.
Information about the events is landing on door mats across Wealden headed ‘Our plans are your plans’.
The leaflets say the plans will shape Wealden district over the next 22 years and the exhibitions are being stages so local people have the opportunity to give their views on new homes, town centres, green spaces, transport links and job opportunities.
At each event councillors and planning experts from the district council will be on hand to answer questions and explain the recommendations in the plan.
The consultation has been extended, from the date shown in the leaflet being distributed, to run until until Monday, December 14.
The results of the consultation will be reviewed by the council early next year. A revised Local Plan document will then go out for further representations before a final version is subjected to a public examination by an independent planning inspector.
An approved Wealden Local Plan is expected to be in place by the end of 2017.
