Uckfield shops are preparing to open on Monday, June 15, the date set by the Government as the UK eases out of lockdown.

SG Home Interiors open by appointment

SG Home Interiors is preparing to open on Monday, June 15. Hand sanitising stations are being set up throughout the showroom and there will be a queue system as and when necessary. There will be no coffee and cake for customers for a while though.

Currently the team is working Monday to Friday and able to offer appointments as required for viewing either garden furniture or any other products.

Kitchens, bedrooms, and bathrooms

Fitters are back out on site fitting kitchens, bedrooms, and bathrooms while adhering to new working procedures with regards to PPE.

Decoration under way at Carvills

Work is continuing in the Carvills showroom to ensure customers and friends feel safe when the shop reopens.

A new wall has been built to separate the fabric, blind and wallpaper showroom from the rest of the shop and decoration is under way.

Uckfield Preservation Society charity shop

The charity shop run by the Uckfield & District Preservation Society in Uckfield High Street will reopen on Monday, June 15.

The shop will conform to Government guidelines to ensure the safety of customers and staff.

Bridge Cottage

Arrangements are also being made to receive and process donations for the Preservation Society charity shop at Bridge Cottage, where there is more space, rather than the shop itself. More details will be available when this can happen.

• Regular markets run at Bridge Cottage remain suspended because safety cannot be ensured at the moment.
