More shops announce reopening date

More Uckfield shops have announced they planning to reopen on Monday, June 15 – the day the Government has flagged for shops selling non-essential items to come out of lockdown.

Josefina, Final Score, and Cole’s Menswear are all hoping to welcome customers back on that date, with more information to come nearer the time.

Final Score deliveries

Final Score, continues to offer collection of goods from the rear of the store, and free delivery, if you live in Uckfield. More goods are due to go out today.

Replacement stocks are finally starting to come into the shop from suppliers. They include: basketball and netball rings, tennis rackets, Springback cricket stumps, and badminton sets.

Call the shop on 01825 761515 or email contact@finalscoresportsshop.co.uk for more information on stock and deliveries.

SG Home Interiors

SG Home Interiors, and the Uckfield and District Preservation Society charity shop, are also planning to open on June 15, and Carvills  is ready too with new stock arriving and PPE, screens, sprays, wipes, rubber gloves and hand sanitiser at the ready.

Best Health Food Shop

Best Health Food Shop, at the bottom of the High Street, near the station, continues to open seven days a week as it has throughout lockdown.

Kilnwood Studio

Kilnwood Studio remains temporarily closed but now has a completely new look inside and out and is looking forward to welcoming customers when hospitality establishments are allowed to come out of lockdown.

The studio is hoping to have Paint at Home packs available soon via an online shop.

They are also getting the studio ‘covid ready’ so that customers will be able to safely visit for the collection and return of packs and finished pieces. Studio owner Gaynor Robson says: “We are working towards July 1 to have this facility available, and sooner if possible.”

Gaynor adds: “We would like to say a big thank you for your continued support and understanding and hope that you will enjoy all the changes and new products that we will soon have available.”

Sheffield Park and Garden

The garden and toilets at Sheffield Park and Garden have reopened to those booking tickets in advance.

Members can book for free, while non-members will need to pay when booking. Tickets will be released every Friday.

The National Trust warns that it will be turning people away who arrive and haven’t booked.

The car park and parkland are open and do not need to be booked.

Find more information, and book your tickets, via the Sheffield Park and Garden website.
