The latest report to the town council from its climate change working group said plans were going well.

The aim is to provide a showcase for companies to promote eco-friendly solutions for use in the home, including renewable energy sources.

To help promote the event, local schools are being asked to take part in a poster competition which will be judged by the town mayor and town crier.

The  working group is also discussing the road “pinchpoints” on routes into Uckfield, such as the junction of the High Street and Church Street, and the options for reducing traffic congestion.

• The Expo replaces the safety event for children in the town council’s calendar of events for 2020 with the intention of the events alternating in future.
