Uckfield Brownies and Guides need new leaders

New leaders are needed to help run Brownie and Guide packs in Uckfield as three are coincidentally moving on at the same time.

Heidi Chown, 21, who runs a 4th Uckfield Brownie group finishes university this summer and is going travelling in September.

A Guide leader is also leaving and a senior section leader is moving to a different unit closer to her home.

Heidi, who studied to be a social worker at university, says she is going to India for three months to Sangam Guiding Centre, one of five world centres, where she will be volunteering within  the community.

She will be taking the rest of the year out before starting work.

Heidi said: “My unit is desperately seeking new leaders. They don’t need to have had experience working with children, just enthusiasm for trying to organise different things.”

You can register your interest in being involved as a Brownie or Guide leader online here, but if you would like to chat to current leaders and find out more you can message them via their Facebook page.
