Uckfield boy nominated for Golden Globe Award

Uckfield’s Roman Griffin Davies who stars in the film Jojo Rabbit has been nominated for a Golden Globe Award.

He has been nominated as Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy alongside established super stars such as Daniel Craig and Leonardo DiCaprio.

Roman plays the role of a Hitler Youth, Jojo Betzler in Jojo Rabbit. His mother his played by Scarlett Johansson.

Picture House

A special screening of the film, which is due to be released in January, was held at Uckfield Picture House earlier this month.

Roman introduced the film and chatted to cinema owner Kevin Markwick in front of an audience of Picture House members.

Golden Globe Awards are presented annually by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association in recognition of outstanding achievement in motion pictures and television.
