Uckfield-based bookkeepers Team 4 Solutions are organising a free workplace pension event and inviting local businesses to attend.
Practice manager Lisa Walkden said many smaller businesses will be going through their staging date for auto-enrolment this year and the free, morning event, will give attendees a clear view of their responsibilities as employers and also promote the service available from Team 4.
It will take place on Tuesday, February 14, from 9.30am, with a 10am start, in the Board Room at Team 4 Solutions premises at the Old Roller Mill.
Lisa said the event – being jointly run with auto-enrolment specialists AE Simplicity – would be especially useful for smaller businesses, 30 employees or less, who haven’t yet gone through auto-enrolment staging or aren’t sure what the new workplace pension means for their business.
It will help attendees make informed choices about how they set up a workplace pension scheme. Choices directly affect the cost of the scheme to the employer/business and the optimum solution is different depending on what kind of contracts you use to employ your staff, your staff numbers, and how your payroll is set up.
It will also help attendees by outlining their task list in order to get ready for the workplace pension deadlines.
Get up to speed
Lisa said there were more than 600 pages of detailed pension guidance on The Pension Regulators Website, so if you don’t have time to read through, and understand, all that, the free event gives a much easier way to get up to speed.
Places are limited to about 20, but if there is more demand then Team 4 will be happy to look at running a second event.
