Uckfield bank manager Richard Page takes early retirement

Richard Page, branch manager at the NatWest bank in Uckfield for 15 years is taking early retirement.

Richard worked at various branches in Sussex before moving to work in Uckfield in 1991. He became manager in 1999.

He completed 42 years service with the bank in August and said that he felt a recent restructure in the company was an opportune time to look for a fresh challenge, possibly something part time. Friday, (October 24) will be his last day.

New manager at Uckfield is Chris Edgeler, previously manager at Peacehaven branch. Chris will also look after Lewes branch under the new structure.

Richard said he had thoroughly enjoyed his time working in his local town. He had made many friends from the people who both live or work in Uckfield and would miss the daily contact with loyal customers.

He said that as an Uckfield resident he would now be seen even more often either riding hisbike or running around the town pursuing his passion for exercise.

Thanks to Richard for sending us this picture.
