Primary schools in and around Uckfield are opening their doors to visits by children aged 4+ who are due to start school in September 2020.
The aim is to help families choose the school they believe would best suit their child and apply for a place before a deadline of January 15, 2020.
The process and criteria for allocation of places is explained on the East Sussex County Council website.
A maximum of three different schools can be listed and East Sussex County Council says that listing more than one won’t affect your first preference – they always offer the highest they can.
The council adds that naming three schools will increase your chances of an offer at a school you prefer.
Details of open days and time can be found on the Uckfield News website with the schools named in alphabetical order. See: Uckfield area primary school open days 2019.
Open days can also be seen in date order on our Uckfield Events website here: School Open Days
The first open days to come up at Framfield Primary School today, October 15, and at Blackboys Primary School on Friday, October 18. The next open days follow in November.
Holy Cross in Uckfield doesn’t have fixed open days. Instead you are invited to call or email the school to book a tour at a time from 10-11.30am to suit you and the school in the run up to January 15.
