Tunbridge Wells won the toss and chose to bowl, and immediately got a breakthrough in a cricket match between Uckfield Anderida and Tunbridge Wells Borderers, writes David Tungate.
Pete Holman (48) and Kev Morton (30) put on a good second wicket partnership of 70, but once Holman departed wickets started falling on a regular basis. Uckfield stumbled to 108-8. Allen Cutinha (29) and Chris Brady (18) offered some resistance lower down the order, but Uckfield were bowled out for 164.
Tunbridge Well’s reply started poorly, with Joe Burns taking a wicket with the fourth ball of the innings. But from there, Tunbridge Wells cruised to victory. Andy Turner bowled well, and picked up two wickets. But Tunbridge Wells won by 7 wickets, with just under 20 overs left.
