Willingdon stroll to victory against Uckfield Anderida 1st Team
Uckfield batted first on a slow, bowler friendly track after losing the toss. And were going well, with many of the top order getting starts, but sadly not going on to make a big score.
Morton (17), McCallum (18) and Turner (18) all looked good before sadly departing.
With good spin bowling from both ends, Willingdon took wickets at regular intervals, and eventually bowled Uckfield out for 127, off 48 overs.
Willingdon’s openers came out looking to be positive, and Dan Phillips forced a caught and bowled opportunity early on, but unfortunately could not take the chance. After that Willingdon knocked the runs off comfortably. Other than that, a chanceless innings took place, and Willingdon strolled to victory off 22 overs.
