Top allotment holders in Uckfield were honoured on last night (Monday, November 10) by the town council.
Mayor, Cllr Ian Smith, handed out awards at a ceremony at the Civic Centre.
Overall winner (large plot) was Mrs S. Washington, Bird in Eye site. Overall small plot winner was Mrs Heather Berry (Framfield Road East).

Bell Lane, Mr R. Close; Bird in Eye, Mrs S. Washington ( large allotment), Mrs S. Stevenson (small); Framfield Road West, Mr Ivor Wickens (large), Mr Andrew and Mrs Mary Ford (small); Framfield Road East, Mr P. J. Manning (large), Mrs H. Berry (small). Ridgewood East, Mrs Reene; Ridgewood West, Mr M. Cosham; West Park, Mrs C. Ellis.
Cllr Smith also handed out certificates and prizes to winners of the council’s calendar competition.

The calendar is produced at no cost to the council and is being delivered to every household in Uckfield.
