Two TV dragons choose to invest in Uckfield business

Two TV dragons are to invest in a company run by an Uckfield inventor.

Steve Ransom appeared on the BBC 2 show Dragons’ Den last night asking for £90,000 investment in return for 20% of his bicycle indicator system business.

It was when he mentioned his existing profitable business, which supplies camera and sensor systems to the transport industry, that the hard-nosed investors really got interested.

The end result was that Deborah Meaden and Peter Jones each offered half of the £90,000 sought for seven and a half per cent of the whole of his business.

Steve said, on leaving the Dragons’ Den, that he was elated and couldn’t believe it.
