Two new businesses have moved onto the Bellbrook Industrial Estate, Uckfield.
They are SJR Hydraulic Hoses and Triple R Forklifts who were previously based on the Squires Farm Industrial Estate at Palehouse Common.
SJR Hydraulic Hoses supplies hoses and fittings for plant and machinery, diggers, tractors and fishing boats. Soon the company will be expanding its range of brake hoses for cars.
Triple R Engineering sells, services and hires Forklift trucks. The company also offers a mobile service for repairs and servicing across Hampshire, Surrey, Kent and Sussex.
The businesses belong to the Wadey family. Rob and Jane Wadey launched Triple R 25 years ago and continue to work together along with their son Simon who set up SJR Hydraulic Hoses 17 years ago.
They are all delighted to be in the new unit at 28 Bell Lane, which are much bigger than their previous premises. They had been looking to move for a long time but couldn’t find the right premises.
Director Simon said there was plenty of room to expand both companies now and they hoped to work with other businesses on the industrial estate.
On the day they moved forklift trucks onto their forecourt they had inquiries from two people going past.
Simon said: “This is a good sign and we are very pleased to be in town.”
He was particularly hoping local independent garages would be interested in SJR brake hoses for cars as they expanded that range. Their trade counter is open to all on the industrial estate.
