Uckfield personal trainer Daniel Sims has set himself the challenge of running four marathons this year.
He has already completed the Cyprus and Rome Marathons, next comes the London Marathon on Sunday, April 28, and then Chicago.
Dan, 36, is running the London Marathon for the first time and says his training is going well. He is up to 40 miles a week now and sticking to his planned regime.
He is using the challenge to raise funds for Children with Cancer UK, setting himself a sponsorship target of £2,000.
He is pleased to be helping the charity because the daughter of one of his close friends successfully beat a rare cancer last year.
He said the money would go towards vital research to discover new and better treatments for childhood cancers.
Daniel added: “Many people don’t realise that cancer in children is very different from cancer in adults and needs its own specialist research, which is what Children with Cancer UK works hard to fund.
“I know running a marathon will be a really tough test both physically and mentally, but compared to what children undergoing cancer treatment endure, it just can’t compare.”
He said he was grateful to everyone who has already sponsored him and if anybody else would like to help they can do so via his virginmoneygiving.com page
