Uckfield trains can run again after points failure

Update: Train operator Southern has announced that the points failure on the Uckfield Line has been rectified.

Services are expected to return to normal with the first train out of Uckfield today expected to be the 3.33pm.

Trains on the Uckfield Line continue to be disrupted this afternoon (November 28).

There has been a points failure and trains have been unable to run between Crowborough – Buxted – Uckfield.

The time for when services will run normally has been put back on a number of occasions.

Disruption is now expected to last until 3pm.

Tunbridge Wells

National Rail Enquiries is “strongly” advising passengers to Buxted/Uckfield to travel via Tunbridge Wells.

Train operator Southern has brought in a shuttle bus service between Uckfield – Buxted – Crowborough.

There have been no trains today so far to or from Uckfield/Buxted.
