Town clerk Holly Goring strides out for Friends of Sussex Hospices

Uckfield Town Clerk Holly Goring is on a 100-mile challenge this month to raise money for the Friends of Sussex Hospices.

She is aiming to walk 100 miles in May and is gradually extending the length of her walks.

She said: “A lot of charities are having a difficult time right now, especially the local hospices.

“With reduced staffing levels, cancelled fund-raising events and additional costs of the necessary health and safety supplies and PPE to contend with, they don’t know what the next few months will look like.

“They do such a fantastic job taking care of those we love so let’s do something for them.”

Ms Goring saw the campaign called 100 miles in May and decided “I can do that”, raise money for local hospices and get fit too.

You can support the town clerk’s fund-raising at her JustGiving page.
