TN22 lifestyle and furniture shop opens in new Uckfield premises

TN22 the lifestyle, vintage and re-worked furniture shop has opened at new premises in Uckfield High Street.

Refurbishment of number 128, formerly The Flower Shop, was completed on Monday evening and the doors are now open to customers.

Lifestyle, vintage and re-worked furniture can be found at TN22 in Uckfield High Street.

Steve Laban who owns the business with Janie Cowans said they were pleased to have all elements of their work under one roof, the main showroom, a room for paint and space for paint workshops too.

Most of the refurbishment work has been done by Steve and Janie since they took over the shop at the beginning of February and has included replacing walls, floors and ceilings.

Through the arch is a room dedicated to the display of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. Beyond that is space where painting workshops will be held.

The couple have collectively been painting for 30 years and enjoy sharing that knowledge with their customers.

They are pleased to have one room in the new shop dedicated to Annie Sloan Chalk Paint where drawers in a chest are painted to show the different colours available.

Drawers show the variety of colours in the Annie Sloan Chalk Paint range.

Dates for paint workshops will be announced later.

The main focus of the business is reworked furniture and lifestyle goods but Steve and Janie also look out for vintage furniture and other interesting pieces. The re-worked pieces undergo a total overhaul, checking and strengthening joints as well as refinishing, often to a customer’s bespoke requirements.

Do call in to have a look around and ask for advice if you are planning your own furniture restoration projects, the couple will be happy to help.
