Party-ware range grows at Something for Everyone
Natalie Axford, owner of Something for Everyone in Uckfield High Street has been increasing the range of party-ware in the shop and plans to stock it long-term.
You will find cups, plates, table covers, hats, candles, and decorations, including greetings banners, all in a variety of colours and you are welcome to call in to choose your favourite.
Just in are fun items for Easter and for the kitchen but there is plenty more to browse too, from luggage to toiletries, and laundry bags to slug pellets and garden bulbs.
Cole’s menswear welcomes spring colour
Spring fashions and welcome colour are arriving at Cole’s menswear in Uckfield and more is on the way so it is worth calling in and then coming back again over the next few weeks.

Polycottons and luxury yarns arrive at Sew n Sew
New polycotton print fabrics have arrived at Sew n Sew with more on the way, and there are new fat quarters, and luxury yarns for knitting too.
Alpaca, merino, and mohair are among the new yarns from Italy, some 100% and some mixtures. An increasing number of people have asked whether the shop could stock the luxury materials and owners Andy and Dawn Coppins are pleased to have sourced some at good prices.
Don’t forget Sew n Sew stocks Dylon too.
Great prices on AL-KO mowers at PP Estates
It’s worth taking a look at AL-KO mowers at PP Estates on the Bellbrook Estate, Uckfield, because prices have plummeted since the German manufacturers took over a UK distribution company.
Business owner Philip Eves says the takeover has enabled them to cut out the middle man and reduce prices by as much as £500 for some ride-ons, and even rotary mowers have come down by more than £100.
Garden furniture at SG Home Interiors
Glorious sunshine earlier this week made thoughts turn to summer days and basking in the garden.
SG Home Interiors displayed some of their garden furniture outside the shop and they have plenty more inside when you start hunting for your ideal pieces.

Look out for bridal wear at Chestnut Tree children’s hospice shop after Wednesday, March 20.
You’ll know when it’s time because there will be a bridal window display, and inside there will be a variety of pre-owned dresses to buy.
After that prom dresses will go on display.
New cards have arrived at the charity shop. All are blank inside and the choice will suit different occasions. Each will cost £1.
Look out for pots of bulbs too, £3 each.
Sale under way at Final Score sports shop
There’s a sale under way at Final Score sports shop with bargains available for men, women and juniors as preparations are made for the arrival of new stock.
Sale items include Nike wicking training T-shirts from £15, and girls and ladies Wilson, Head, and Nike skorts from £15.
There’s 25% off ladies’ Canterbury stadium pants, Nike tracksuit bottoms are available from £15 and Canerbury boys shorts are available from £10.
Stock is limited and everything available is out on display. There are plenty of other deals and reductions too, including footwear, rackets, bats and rugby protection.
Strange week at PipeDreams
It’s been a strange week at PipeDreams which has been selling snow boots at the same time as flip flops.
The topsy turvey weather mean’t a new arrival of flip flops made its way quickly to the shop floor even though a ski sale has just begun.
There are plenty of bargains to be had in the sale, including ski jackets, trousers, helmets and accessories. And for people planning to go skiing at Easter there is plenty of kit to hire.
Spring clothing ranges are beginning to arrive at PipeDreams too.
New on the menu at Hartfields
New dishes have been added to the menu at Hartfields.
They include burgers: Brie and Apple with 100% chuck steak, and rocket; and Chicken, Bacon and Ranch Dressing, with avocado, cos, and tomato.
A new salad is Roasted Squash, Quinoa and Halloumi with spinach, cherry tomatoes, olives, avocado, and pumpkin seeks.
New mains include Cauliflower, Squash and Chickpea Curry with green beans, courgettes, fluffy rice, and flatbread; Smoked Mackerel, Horseradish and Leek Hash, spinach, onion, pepper, potato, and poached egg, and Barbecue Pulled Pork Flatbread, with herby salad, caramelised onion and smoked cheese.
There are new lunch specials too including an Apple, Banana and Raspberry Smoothie, light bites of Cajun Chicken Skewers with a sour cream dip, and Smoked Salmon with Celeriac, Potato and Apple Salad.
New lunch mains include Smoked Haddock and Spring Onion Fishcake, local wilted greens, poached egg, and hollandaise sauce; Roasted Veg and Feta Wrap, hummus, sun dried tomato, and rocket, and Coronation Chicken Sandwich, with cos lettuce and tomato.

Make your own Mother’s Day gifts at Kilnwood Studio
Mother’s Day is Sunday, March 31, this year and if you would like to paint a pottery gift there are plenty of options to choose from at Kilnwood Studio in Uckfield.

Look out for new Georg Jensen collection at W. E. Clark & Son
A new jewellery collection has been released by the Danish brand Georg Jensen and will be displayed at W. E. Clark & Son during the next week.
This is one of the shop’s most popular sterling silver brands. A variety of silversmiths design under the name and the new collection, by Jacqueline Rabun, is called Mercy.
Jacqueline Rabun also designed the Offspring which sold quickly at W. E. Clark & Son.
Georg Jensen describes the collection as ‘Organic and sensual, the Mercy collection wraps gently around your fingers, neck and ears while serving as an emotional reminder to always be compassionate.’

Primroses are looking beautiful at Staverton Nursery and there are potted bulbs, Bellis Daisies and summer bedding starter packs – which come with advice to keep out of frost – available too.

Check out Mother’s Day gifts at Josefina where some proving particularly popular are sterling silver earrings incorporated in a card and then presented in a box. They cost just £12.
