The Beauty Spot is extending its business and opening a second clinic just a few doors down from its existing one in Uckfield.
Owner Maria Mann plans to take the aesthetics and semi-permanent make-up side of the business – known as Maria Carmen Aesthetics – to the new site at 82 New Town.
It will be a Medical Care Quality Commission (CQC) registered clinic offering a wide range of aesthetics, semi-permanent make-up, advanced skin treatments, laser treatments, and surgical treatments.
Pipeline
The plans have been in the pipeline since January, but were put on hold because of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Now Maria is pressing ahead saying the first step is to achieve CQC registration, meeting stringent standards set by the commission. She hopes to open in the first quarter of next year.
She has been working hard to complete Medic First Response training and is also on the way to achieving a Masters in Aesthetics Medicine.
Amazing
She told Uckfield News: “I work under an amazing doctor who is an expert in the aesthetic world who has got her Masters in Aesthetics Medicine and I hope to get more nurses, doctors, and aesthetics practitioners, to work alongside me in the new clinic.
“I have also set up my own training academy and want to train up the girls I work with at The Beauty Spot so they are able to offer semi-permanent make-up and more treatments.”
Maria says she has wanted to take over on the new building for many years. She adds that while now is not the best time, it’s now or never and she has to take the chance while it’s there.”
