Ten-year-old Chloe Hanson from Uckfield has been chosen to dance with London Children’s Ballet.
Competition is fierce for places with the performance company and Chloe, who attends St Philip’s Primary School and dances with The Rennie Dance Academy, was one of only 60 children offered a place. Nearly 600 auditioned.
The LCB creates a new West End ballet each year performed by talented dancers aged nine to 16. The company also takes ballet into schools, care homes and special needs centres in and around London.
For this season Richard Norriss, composer, and Jenna Lee, choreographer, have teamed up fro the second year running to create a new ballet, Little Lord Fauntleroy.

LCB is a charity and offering the experience free of charge to the young dancers. Over the coming months Chloe will try to raise money for the charity as she is so thrilled to be given the opportunity of dancing in the West End.
Chloe takes classes in ballet, modern, jazz and tap at The Rennie Dance Academy. Principal Kirsten Rennie-Carter said everyone at the school was extremely proud of Chloe and looking forward to watching her perform in April.
