Leaflets advertising an on-line survey to gauge interest in the launch of a commuter bus to Uckfield railway station are to be handed out at the station from today on weekday mornings for the next three weeks.
Commuters are being encouraged to complete their survey while they travel. It can be found at www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/Q238QXG.
From our original story about the survey on April 13: A survey of rail passengers is to be undertaken as the first step in a bid to alleviate on-street parking congestion around railway stations at Uckfield, Buxted and Crowborough.
The survey will be conducted by Wealden Bus Alliance and Sussex Community Rail Partnership to ascertain the level of demand for an early morning and evening commuter bus service to the different stations.
The survey, funded by Wealden District Council, will be on-line only and to introduce it to rail commuters a leaflet is to be given to passengers at each of the stations.
It will be handed out at the departure times of the first six up trains on weekday mornings.
Respondents will be offered the chance to win £50 worth of Amazon vouchers.
Volunteers will be handing out the leaflets at the stations from 6am to 8am on weekdays.
Under the terms of the agreement with Southern Railway the leaflets must only be given out at the stations. They must NOT be given out on board a train.
