Two ex-cast members from the award-winning stage show STOMP will be running a professional workshop at Maresfield next month.
One, Lorraine Le Blanc, who is now a member of the Universal Dance team, will be working with David Gallagher to teach students repertoire taken from, and inspired by the STOMP production, which is a hit around the world.
Students will learn how to make rhythmic sounds using their bodies and other props/instruments while learning first hand the skills needed to be a performer in the West End.
Lorraine and David will provide all the equipment needed for this ‘show-stopper’ of a day, including props from the live set.
In the show, which blends dance, music and theatrical performance, the cast use matchboxes, brooms, garbage cans, Zippo lighters and more to fill the stage with energising beats.
Students aged seven and above – including adults – are welcome to join the workshop on Monday, February 15, from 10am to 4pm.
